The creative force behind LIFE IN A WALK is a combination of veteran and youthful storytellers who share a bond around spending time with the ones you love. The expertise assembled worked countless days and nights to share a story that has impacted each of them and their loved ones.
Adventure-preneur Yogi Roth began his storytelling career after coaching football at USC, co-authoring the New York Times best-seller Win Forever with Pete Carroll, as well as his second book From PA to LA. As a filmmaker, he has produced multiple documentaries with the Pac-12 Networks, NFL Films and ESPN, including the Emmy-nominated film Keep Climbing: 2013 Elite 11.
As a media personality, Yogi has been a host / college football analyst for ESPN, FOX and Pac-12 Networks, as well as a correspondent for Entertainment Tonight.
Executive Producer/Director Jonathan ‘JJ’ James has been involved in the television film industry for the last decade, overseeing multiple half-hour and hour-long reality series founded in competitive settings. A director, producer and shooter, JJ’s unique assets allow projects to come to life in the moment. He began his career working on the innovative series Beyond the Glory and FEARLESS and since has flourished in the documentary/reality platform (Follow the Rules, TI and Tiny: Family Hustle, Marrying the Game, Same Name, For the love of Ray J).
Currently, he is Executive Producing and new series for CMT called Dude Perfect. JJ has also produced documentary content for NFL Films and the Pac-12 Networks.
Ed Borneman has been editing and storytelling for over 19 years. His projects have included television commercials, promos, music videos, & movie trailers. He also spent a year co-writing and editing all of the promotional spots for Jimmy Kimmel Live! LIFE IN A WALK is his first feature film.
Sam Young is a video editor and screen writer who hails from FIDM and has a love for all things geeky. She’s cut videos for funnyordie.com and has worked on content for a variety of cool cats including Beck, Justin Timberlake, Rachel Bilson, and is thrilled to now be apart of LIFE IN A WALK’s team of extraordinary individuals.
After hearing The Police’s “Message in a bottle” at age 3, Rory Modica started his musical path. A self-taught musician who can play and produce a variety of music, Rory strives to create original soundscapes for his clients. He has worked with famed producers Michael Beinhorn (Soundgarden, RHCP), Rob Schnapf (Elliott Smith/Beck), and Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies, Jesus Lizard).
Eric Yoon has shot pieces varying in style, from short fashion promos and music videos to feature narrative films. While his films have been selected for numerous film festivals, Eric is also an experienced electrician in film production.
Raised in Vermont, Chris Seerveld currently lives and works in NYC as a freelance filmmaker. Working on LIFE IN A WALK not only spurred his decision to quit his day job to pursue his love of film full time, but also opened his eyes to the importance of spending time with family and loved ones.
Gregor Clark co-produced The Mark of Cain, a feature-length documentary about tattooing in the Russian prison system. The Mark of Cain was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Documentary and aired in multiple segments on ABC News’s Nightline. He produced and directed To Lead a Jewish Life, which aired nationally on ABC and NBC. He wrote and directed the animated series Being Stanley, about the Stanley Cup and his struggles to leave Trophyland and become the real Stanley Cup, which won an Emmy Award. Gregor is working on a new animated series with UCSC to introduce philosophy to high school students with comedy. He produces through the content and strategy company Hiker, with offices in NYC and LA.
